Let us connect!

Connect meaningfully with one another

OBJECTIVE

What new insights, perspectives, understanding and appreciation would you have for one another?
Share your reflection here: link

how to play

Step 1:
  • Find people to connect with. Recommended size = 5-6 people
  • One person to volunteer as Gardener
    • Keep time
    • Set the context and intention and to share the Growthbeans Garden rules

Context:
In "Lets Connect", we invite everyone to bring no titles as they share and contribute. Let us connect and discover more about ourselves and others, and support one another.

Growthbeans Garden rules:
  • Reserve judgement (be open and curious)
  • Be inclusive
  • Respect all
  • Help others be self-aware (Support one another)
  • Come as strangers and leave as friends
  • Learn, share, grow! And have fun!

Step 2:
  • Spin all four wheels to get four different words.

Step 3:
  • Then spin the question wheel to generate a question.
  • Spin the question wheel one more time to generate a second question.

Step 4:
  • You now have two different questions to apply to any / all of the four themes/feelings words.
  • Everyone in the group takes turns to share experiences, opinions, thoughts and/or feelings in relation to a question of their choice. Anyone can go first (~10minutes per person, including responding to questions)
  • Each individual is to manage their own boundaries and share only what they are comfortable in sharing.
  • As each person shares, they can also indicate to the rest if they have any specific intention. For example,
    • Person A has a challenge he/she is facing. Besides sharing it, Person A would also like to hear some suggestions from the group. Person A may wish to specify the intention upfront before sharing.
    • Person B would like to gain new perspectives to the experience he/she had. Person B could specify intention upfront and invite others to share different ways of looking at the situation
    • Person C would like to know if anyone else feels the same way to his/her experience and  shared that upfront with the group
  • Everyone is encouraged to refrain from judgment, and to remain curious and open at all times by asking questions to explore and understand. However, do note the time limit per person for both sharing, and responding to questions.

Step 5:
  • After everyone has shared, you may wish to go another round by repeating steps 1-4.
  • Before drawing the activity to an end, in the spirit of sharing and learning, Gardener to invite everyone to share any new insights/takeaways/appreciation they have from the session.
