Hello Friends,

I'm really excited to be connecting with you here!

I am filled with gratitude to be able to present at this year's GamiCon48V on Growthbeans' GRO! cards - a game of resilience strategy and self discovery. Bringing the concepts of sustainability, permaculture and self-awareness together, and infusing it with the Growthbeans'
SECOND Framework coaching-infused methodology to create a game on resilience was a gameplay in itself! There was a lot of fun, learning and interaction, and challenges to overcome in creating GRO!. It was overall a fulfilling experience, and I hope that as you play a game of GRO! in time to come, you will have as much fun and discovery (if not more) as we had in creating it!

Sincerely,
Shane Yan

Using Gamification to learn about Resilience

How do we convey important life lessons on resilience to our children and our loved ones in todays VUCA world? According to Luthar, 2003, resilience is the ability to adapt positively despite experiencing adversity or trauma.

What began as a card game educating about permaculture and agriculture, Gro cards have surprised players with a depth of discovery and awareness — helping them learn more about their strengths, resilience strategy, and blind spots.

Critical life lessons on resilience can be conveyed through gamification and it has helped individuals tweak their approach to life challenges and enabled managers to review employees' strengths and blind spots and guide them.

I have a Gift for You

Are you ready for a journey of self-discovery through activities?

About:
This is a journey of dreams
Tenderly pieced together in themes
Inspired by people and fantasy
Written with love and idiosyncrasy
Activate your imagination
And give it an added dimension
Take the effort to work on the activities
While ridding yourself of all negativities
Just like the cat and the fiddle
May you unravel your riddle
Be the cow that jumps over the moon
And may success be yours soon
What you get:
Two of ten chapters of the book - "Escaped" & "Life's Drama"

The Experience:
This book in its entirety is designed to simulate the change experience, and to be aware of the many thoughts and emotions that can be manifested in our dreams and subconscious. It reminds us to pause and be mindful, to embrace our vulnerabilities and look within into what we might really be needing on a deeper level for change. Whether it's for resilience or enhanced wellbeing, the evidenced based activities unlocks something deeper and different for everyone.
