Connect with others
for social & psychological well-being
To be a leader that people want to follow and grow with, one must have good internal and external self-awareness, and take responsibility for the development of themselves and others. The Fourth industrial revolution will require people with soft skills to lead the way. Leadership is not a position of authority. Leadership is a demonstration of the ability to engage, tap on collective intelligence, collaborate, inspire, lead and develop others – with an eye on both attaining the vision and goal, as well as aligning and harnessing the strengths of the team. In the age of disruption, a culture of growth mindset, collaborative and inclusive learning will help us with innovation, transformation and business performance while managing our well-being.

The people we work with can make a difference to our working experience. With the diversity of people from different backgrounds, it is not uncommon for misunderstandings and conflict to arise. Office politics is often viewed as something negative that affects collaboration and teamwork, and make it seem difficult. Consciously or unconsciously, in the pursuit of our goals, we may also deploy techniques that contribute to office politics. In this session, we will explore how we may contribute to office politics and how to manage office politics.
