Employability (Van der Heijde & Van der Heijden, 2006) is defined as the ability to gain and retain employment, including finding new employment when necessary.
Individuals with high employability are more proactive and will actively engage in learning, asserting and influencing the situation to fit their own occupational interest and fulfil desired career identities. They would be able to alter their own cognitions and behaviors to optimize the situation and outcomes. |
